Editorial policy
Emerald News Review aims to make clear, careful writing about emeralds and the objects, craft and histories connected with them. We distinguish established context from interpretation and correct the record when a material error is found.
Accuracy and limits
Writers should use reliable, relevant sources for factual claims and make uncertainty visible where evidence does not support a firm conclusion. Descriptions of appearance are not identification or authentication. We do not offer valuations, buying recommendations or assurances about the origin or treatment of a particular stone.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions are made for reader interest and subject relevance, not as a promise of favourable coverage. A partnership does not determine our conclusions, and no contributor should present a commercial claim as an independent editorial finding.
Corrections
Readers can report possible errors through the Contact page. We review specific, verifiable concerns and amend material when warranted, making significant corrections clear to readers. A correction does not remove the need to distinguish fact from interpretation.
Partner and sponsored material
Any paid, supplied or partner-supported material is identified clearly as such. Partner placements are separated from editorial selection and labelled so readers can recognise the commercial relationship before engaging with the material.
